Pacoima: On December 17, 2016, at 10:30 p.m., Los Angeles Police Department Foothill Area patrol officers responded to a radio call of an “Assault with a deadly weapon, shots fired,” at the 11900 block of Sproule Avenue, in the City of Pacoima.
When the officers arrived, they located a 16-year-old male sitting in the passenger seat inside a Ford, F-150 suffering from a gun shot wound. Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics were requested and responded to the scene. Emergency medical aide was rendered to the 16-year-old before he was transported to a local area hospital in critical condition.
As the officers continued their investigation they discovered that the driver of the Ford, F-150 was traveling West on Eustace Street between Dronfield Avenue and Cometa Avenue when they were fired upon by gun shots from unknown suspects. The driver noticed the victim had been shot and continued driving to the 11900 block of Sproule Avenue, and then called 911.
Los Angeles Police Department Operations Valley Bureau Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and their investigation further revealed that the suspects vehicle was a light or dark colored Nissan Altima and that the shooting may be gang related. No further information is available at the time.
