North Hollywood Shooting Leaves Two Dead NR17241sr

North Hollywood: The Los Angeles Police Departments’ Valley Bureau Homicide Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) responsible for the murder of two men.

On August 14, 2017, North Hollywood Area patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the 5000 block of Klump Avenue. 911 callers reported hearing between 15-20 gunshots. When the officers arrived, they located multiple victims suffering from gunshots.

The investigation thus far has revealed that three males arrived at the location just prior to the shooting, they met with and greeted three additional males, who exited the parking structure of the apartment complex. Their meeting quickly deteriorated when guns were drawn and a running gun battle ensued. In the end, more than 20 rounds were fired, four of the six individuals sustained gunshot wounds. Two of the male victims died from their injuries. A third male remains in critical condition at a local hospital and a fourth was treated and released.

Detectives are currently piecing together evidence to determine the motive behind these shootings.
