Boyle Heights Shooting Leaves One Dead And Two Injured
Boyle Heights: Los Angeles Police Department Hollenbeck Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of George Castillo, a 37-year-old man. Two other adults were also wounded during the shooting.
The shooting was reported on Thursday, September 5, 2017, at around 1:07 a.m., in the 1600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. The victims were standing on the sidewalk when they were shot by an unidentified suspect. George Castillo was transported by paramedics to a local hospital where he died. The other two victims were treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and remain hospitalized. Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting as being gang-related.
