Multi-Victim Kidnap / Sexual Assault Suspect Captured NR18013ne

Los Angeles: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division (RHD), Special Assault Section, arrested 35-year-old Ferdinand Ervin Flowers, a resident of Long Beach, for the kidnap and sexual assault of fourteen women from the City of Los Angeles and other areas within the County of Los Angeles.

During the early morning hours of Friday, January 12, 2018, the suspect, in a vehicle, approached a female near Long Beach and Palm in the City of Lynwood. The victim entered the vehicle and was driven to a street in Rancho Dominguez, an unincorporated area of Carson Sheriff’s. The suspect brandished a handgun at the victim, robbed her, and then attempted to force her to perform a sex act. While being held in the vehicle, the victim fought off the suspect and was able to escape his vehicle. Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department, who were conducting an investigation in the area related to this case, observed the victim falling out of the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Flowers was arrested in the 600 block of West Victoria Street in Rancho Dominguez, an unincorporated area of Compton Sheriff’s and booked for 211 PC Armed Robbery, to include 664/261(a)(2) PC Attempt Rape, and 236 PC False Imprisonment. Flowers is being held in lieu of a $1,150,000 bail.
