Los Angeles: Detectives
from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Newton Area are seeking
the public’s assistance in identifying a violent robbery
suspect.
On Saturday, March 17, 2018, around 6:00 p.m., a robbery occurred
in a cell phone store located on the 2100 block of Central Avenue.
An armed suspect entered the business and shows the employee a
handgun and demanded the money from the cash register. The suspect
opened backpack and instructed employee to put money in backpack.
The suspect fled the location on foot.
On Monday, March 19, 2018, around 2:25 p.m., a robbery occurred at
a title and loan company located in the 800 block of Washington
Boulevard. An armed suspect entered the business armed with a
handgun. The suspect chambered a round in the handgun while
demanding money from the employee. The suspect exited the business
and fled on foot.
The suspect in both robberies is described as a 25-30-year-old male
Black with medium complexion. He stands 5 feet, 5 to 7 inches tall
and weighs approximately 185 pounds. He was wearing a backpack,
dark blue beanie with a Rams logo on the front, blue sweater with a
white stripes, mustard yellow colored pants, and dark blue Vans.
The suspect also has a tattoo of unknown writing on the left side
of his face.
