Los Angeles: On Thursday, March 29, 2018, at 4:09 p.m., the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team will play their first home game of the season. In an effort to assist the public in avoiding possible traffic congestion and parking delays, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is informing the public of a temporary parking restriction near Dodger Stadium. Between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on March 29th, there will be restricted parking on Palm Row (Stadium Way) between Scott Road and Academy Road.
In addition to parking enforcement, LAPD officers will be patrolling the area to enforce the no tolerance policy for drinking in public or in the parks. Dodger fans are also reminded that there is no tailgating in the parking lots of Dodger Stadium.
If you plan on attending the game and buying tickets near the stadium, be aware of ticket scalpers who may sell you fraudulent tickets. There is often little recourse once you arrive and attempt to gain access to the game. There will be undercover officers in the area enforcing illegal ticket scalping in the hours leading up to the game.
Everyone in attendance on opening day deserves a safe and fun-filled day of baseball, so please respect the neighborhood and stay safe.
