Miss Cheresse Thomas introduced the program to their school, and with the encouragement of their teaching staff, the 600 predominantly Black and Hispanic students wrote pledges about the importance of saying no to drugs, gangs, crime, and bullying. The rally is a positive way to help interact the students and teachers with Police Officers and community mentors, who entire mission is to positively impact the lives of our youth one child at a time. Recent highlighted incidents of children being hurt by bullying and drugs in school has made this program much more important in the Los Angeles area schools.
