Reward Offered for Apprehension of a Robbery Suspect NR18127ti

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles
Police Department’s Robbery Homicide Division, Robbery Special
Section is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect
responsible for a series of business robberies.

Robbery Homicide Division, Robbery Special Section, is
investigating a series of armed robberies that have targeted the
Trader Joe’s markets. To date, detectives have identified eight
robberies, two in Long Beach, one in Irvine, one in Culver City,
and four in Los Angeles. The four Los Angeles robberies have
occurred in Van Nuys, Topanga, Wilshire, and West Valley Divisions
of Los Angeles. The robbery series began February 15, 2018, in Long
Beach, with the last robbery occurring April 22, 2018 in West
Valley.

The suspect is described as a male Black, medium height and weight,
between the ages of 25 to 35-years-old.

Councilmember Paul Koretz stated “I am grateful to my colleagues
for stepping up to offer this reward as an incentive for anyone
with information of the person or persons responsible for
committing this crime to please come forward. This series of armed
robberies is a direct threat to the people of Los Angeles and the
families who shop in these establishment and the quicker we bring
them to justice the sooner Angelinos can rest.”

The Los Angeles City Council has approved a reward of $15,000 for
information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or
persons responsible for this crime.
