Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Northeast Division Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a murder suspect(s).
Northeast Homicide Detectives are investigating the death of 43-year old, Alfred Raymond Montes.
On Monday, May 7, 2018, around 5:10 p.m., officers assigned to Northeast Division responded to a “Shots Fired” call for service in the 300 block of N. Avenue 52, in the Highland Park community of Los Angeles. Upon officers’ arrival, they were met by Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) paramedics, who were treating the victim. Despite the efforts to render medical treatment, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The investigation has shown the victim was walking on the north side of N. Avenue 52 when he was struck by gunfire. A light-colored sedan was seen driving east on N. Avenue 52.
