Response to the Arrest of a LAPD Officer NR18138ml

Los Angeles: On May 15, 2018, Kenneth Collard, 51, a Los Angeles Police Officer, was arrested by Torrance Police Department and the case has been filed with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.

The Los Angeles Police Department is aware of this arrest and the Department has initiated a personnel investigation however, if the accusations are true, this officer will prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and will face severe repercussions in regards to his employment as well.

Collard will remain assigned to home pending the outcome of this investigation.

The LAPD will continue to provide its full cooperation with Torrance Police Department until their investigation is complete. We would encourage anyone who may have information about this incident or any other incident to provide that information to the Torrance Police Department.
