Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an attempt murder suspect.
On September 16, 2018 around 7 a.m., Los Angeles Police Department’s Central patrol officers received a radio call of “Assault with a Deadly Weapon victims” near the 700 block of Wilshire Boulevard. A canvass of the area also located an additional victim near the area of 5th Street between Flower and Figueroa.
Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported all 3 victims to a local hospital in critical condition.
Based on the critical nature of the victims, Robbery-Homicide Division assumed investigative responsibility for the case. A canvass of the area determined that the crimes actually had occurred around 4:30 a.m., that morning.
The suspect was captured on surveillance video and is described as a male White or Hispanic wearing a blue hat, grey sweatshirt, black shorts and bright white tennis shoes. Suspect also appears to have dark bushy hair.
The suspect beat the victims with a baseball bat and went through the victims’ pockets, taking property. The suspect was last seen leaving the area on foot. The suspect and baseball bat are still outstanding.
