Van Nuys: The Los Angeles Police Department Valley Traffic Division detectives are investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred Monday morning on September 17, 2018.
At 11:25 a.m., a blue, 2007 Toyota Camry was traveling northbound Van Nuys Boulevard negotiating a left turn onto westbound Oxnard Street collided with a (pedestrian) who was walking inside a marked crosswalk.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded, and transported the victim to a local hospital where she died from her injuries she sustained.
The victim was identified as Iris Cruz, 52-year-old female from Valley Village.
The driver remained at the scene.
