2018 at approximately 7:30 a.m, Maria Asuncion Reynoso, a 75-
year-old female, was walking northbound in the crosswalk at 28th
Street and Budlong Avenue.
Reynoso was struck by a driver in a white SUV, determined to be a
Nissan Armada, that was traveling southbound on Budlong Avenue. The
driver negotiated a left turn eastbound on 28th Street, and
collided with Reynoso.
The impact caused her to collide with the roadway. She was
transported to a nearby hospital where she later died from her
injuries.
The driver, Brandon Mazariego, failed to stop and identify himself,
and or render aid.
