North Hollywood: Los Angeles Police Department Valley Bureau Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the identification of the suspect or suspects responsible for killing a 34-year-old man.
On January 14, 2019, at approximately 9:00 am, Los Angeles Police Department North Hollywood Uniformed Patrol Officers responded to a radio call of an “Ambulance Shooting,” at the 7100 block of Whitsett Avenue. (Whitsett Park)
Upon arrival, officers were met by Los Angeles City Fire Department Paramedics who pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Los Angeles Police Department Valley Bureau Homicide Detectives were notified and responded to the scene. Upon arrival, detectives assumed investigative responsibility.
Detectives observed victim lying on the ground in the parking lot of the park. Victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Detectives processed the crime scene for evidence and canvassed the area for witnesses.
Victim was a known transient who resided in the area. Victim’s identity is not being released, pending notification to the family of the victim.
Victim is described as a male White, thirty-four years of age.
