Three Robbery Suspects Assault Victim Walking the Street NR19132rc

Los Angeles: The Los
Angeles Police Department and Newton Area Detectives are seeking
the public’s assistance in identifying three violent robbery
suspects.

On April 5, 2019, around 5:20 p.m., a street robbery occurred near
the intersection of Vernon Ave and Broadway Ave. The victim was
walking when three suspects approached on foot from behind. Out of
fear of being assaulted, the victim started to run away from the
suspects.

While running away, one of the suspects tripped the victim from
behind causing him to fall to the ground. While on the ground, all
three suspects kicked and punched the victim repeatedly until he
became unconscious. During the assault the suspects took the
victim’s necklace and wallet which contained US Currency.

First suspect (pictured above) is described as a 16 to 18-year-old
male Hispanic, with medium complexion. He stands 5 feet 9 inches
tall and weighs around 160 pounds. He was wearing blue long sleeved
hooded sweatshirt and gray sweat pants with a black stripe down the
side. At the time of the robbery the suspect had a beard and “bowl”
style haircut.

Second suspect is described as a 16 to 18-year-old male Hispanic.
He stands 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs around 160 pounds. He was
wearing a black beanie, black sweater, and black pants. The suspect
was carrying a skateboard and wearing a backpack with multiple
unknown logos.

Third suspect is described as a 16 to 18-year-old male Hispanic. He
stands 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs around 160 pounds. The
suspect was wearing a black sweater, black pants, and black
shoes.
