WHY: This ocean mural project #35 was spearheaded by Madison Makoff, 19, from Huntington Beach, California. She is a passionate Ocean Conservationist who has traveled around the world to bring awareness to the importance of preserving and protecting our oceans. Studies have shown that creating and being around art has a phenomenal ability to inspire and broaden perspectives and horizons in people. This helps kids understand that they can change the world around them through art.
