San Pedro: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Harbor Area Homicide Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) responsible for the shooting death of 35-year-old Samuel Butler. On Saturday, June 29, 2019, at 5:10 a.m., Harbor Area Patrol Officers responded to a radio call of a shooting at 300 block of West 11th Street.
The officers located the victim, Samuel Butler, lying on the second-floor hallway of the two-story apartment building.
Mr. Butler was suffering from gunshot injuries. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to render aid; however, Mr. Butler died from the injuries he sustained.
Residents at the apartment complex did not hear any activity prior to the gunshots. Detectives do not have any leads as to the suspect’s identity and are asking for the public’s help.
