Montecito Heights: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Area are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a homicide suspect(s).
On August 17, 2019, at about 1:20 a.m., Hollenbeck Officers responded to a shooting call at the corner of East Avenue 42 and Griffin Avenue.
Upon arrival officers discovered three shooting victims, one male Hispanic, 21 years old was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other two were transported to the hospital and are male, Hispanics, 18 and 19 years old. The two males that were transported to the hospital sustained none life threatening injuries.
Hollenbeck Homicide Detectives believe the shooting is gang related. The Detectives have detained two individuals that they believe were involved in the shooting.
Detectives are still looking for an additional suspect(s).
