Los Angeles: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Northeast Division are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the identification of the suspects responsible for killing 36-year-old Edgar Franquez.
On August 21, 2019, around 9:18 p.m., Northeast Division officers responded to a radio call of an Ambulance Shooting in the 5000 block of Fayette Street. Upon their arrival, officers located a victim that had sustained several gunshot wounds to the upper torso. Preliminary investigation determined Franquez was in his backyard when an unknown suspect approached and shot him.
Los Angeles Fire Paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
There is no suspect description and no vehicle was seen.
