Los Angeles: Detectives from the
Los Angeles Police Department’s Rampart Area are seeking the
public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for
shooting another man.
On January 4th, 2020, around 12:50 a.m. the male victim was at a
bar located in the 2700 block of West 7th Street when he became
involved in an argument with the suspect. During the argument, the
suspect drew a firearm from his waistband and shot the victim.
Immediately after the shooting the suspect fled the location.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he received
medical treatment and ultimately released. The suspect is
described as a Hispanic male, standing approximately 5 feet 7
inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds, goatee and between 35 to
40 years of age. The suspect was last seen wearing a black hat,
black t-shirt and gray pants.
In an effort to identify the suspect, detectives have released a
portion of the surveillance video which captured the shooting.
