LAPD Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19 NR20071ml

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department has identified a second employee who has tested positive for Coronavirus.

The individual, who is a member of the Department’s senior staff exhibited flu-like symptoms last week and is resting at home. The employee is expected to make a full recovery.

All of the work spaces associated with that individual are currently being disinfected and that work should be completed by the end of the day.

This is a sobering reminder that anyone is susceptible to this virus. The LAPD encourages all Angelenos to follow local and state guidelines of hygiene and social distancing.
