Shooting Leaves One Dead NR20072dm

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Central Bureau Homicide detectives are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect who killed a man.

On March 19, 2020, around 4:20 a.m., Newton Area patrol officers responded to a radio call for a possible intoxicated male in a vehicle parked in the 200 block of West 56th Street. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a male, not conscious or breathing, shot inside the vehicle.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the male dead at scene. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.

There is no suspect description and the motive for this homicide is not known.
