Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Force Investigation Division is investigating a Tactical Unintentional Discharge (TUD) which occurred at the 2600 block of E. Olympic Blvd, in the City of Los Angeles.
On April 27, 2020, around 7:03 a.m., a Central Division patrol officer responded to a radio call of a burglary suspect at a local department store in Hollenbeck Division. While at scene, officers requested additional units to assist searching the location for the suspect. During the search, one officer had a TUD with his pistol. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident. The involved Department employee was identified as Police Officer II Rodney Hernandez, Serial No. 40287, assigned to Central Division.
