WHAT: This is a first-year event where Rampart Station patrol officers will be providing free Thanksgiving turkey dinner baskets to over 50 local families.
WHEN: Tuesday, November 24, 2020 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
WHERE: Rampart Community Police Station 1401 West Sixth Street Los Angeles, California, 90017 (The giveaway will take place in front of Rampart station. It will be drive-through event to maintain social distancing)
WHO: Rampart Area patrol officers
WHY: During these difficult and challenging times for everyone, Rampart officers continue to find ways to serve our community. Rampart patrol officers decided to partner with local businesses to create food baskets which will provide a full Thanksgiving Day dinner to a family.
All the families have been pre-identified and include children living in foster homes, families that have lost their jobs/source of income, and families who are homeless and living out of their vehicles.
Since the baskets are limited and have been pre-designated for pre-selected families, those showing up who have not already been notified of their selection will not receive a basket.
Contact: For any questions regarding this event, please contact Officer Walter Casasola, Rampart Community Police Station, at (213) 484-3070.
