Los Angeles: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Bureau Homicide unit are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for the shooting death of a man.
On Tuesday, December 15, 2020, just before 1 p.m., officers from Los Angeles Police Department Wilshire Area were flagged down by citizens for a shooting near Melrose Avenue and Stanley Avenue.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and a male approximately 30 years of age was pronounced dead at scene.
He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. A second male was also struck by gun fire, was transported to a local hospital for treatment, and is listed in serious condition.
The motive for the shooting is unknown.
The suspect is described as a male black, no further description, and was last seen fleeing the scene on foot.
