Elderly Pedestrian Killed in Hit and Run Traffic Collision NR20329dm

January 7, 2021 Valley Traffic Detective’s investigation, and surveillance video located near the area of the collision, led to the identification of the vehicle and the driver. On December 30, 2020, around 9:20 a.m., 59-year-old Lisa Lipman (Booking #6088234) was taken into custody for the fatal hit and run as she left her house several days after the collision. She is a resident of Santa Monica. Her bail was set at $50,000.00 and she was released on bond with a court date scheduled for June 24, 2021.

North Hollywood: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for the fatal Hit and Run traffic collision that killed an 85-year-old female pedestrian.

On Sunday, December 27, 2020, around 5:40 p.m., an elderly female pedestrian was walking west on Lankershim Boulevard in a marked crosswalk. An unknown suspect, driving a newer model black 4-door sedan, was travelling east on Moorpark Street. The suspect made a right turn on to north Lankershim Boulevard, struck the pedestrian and continued north on Lankershim Boulevard. The driver failed to stop and render aid as required by law.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where she died. Her name is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.

Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit and Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members who provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
