Los Feliz: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Traffic Division are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect or suspects responsible for the hit-and-run traffic collision that severely injured a 15-year-old pedestrian.
On April 21, 2021, around 11:25 p.m., a white van was traveling eastbound on Prospect Avenue at Talmadge Street and collided into a pedestrian that was crossing southbound on Prospect Avenue. The impact caused the pedestrian to be catapulted into the air. The driver of the van fled eastbound on Prospect Avenue without stopping, identifying themselves, or attempting to render aid to the victim as required by law.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital with severe injuries. The victim is in stable condition.
The suspect’s vehicle is described as a white full-size cargo van with dark horizontal molding just above the tires, along the driver-side and passenger-side of the vehicle. The van is likely to have damage on the front end and the hood.
