Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge (NTUD) NRF021-21ne

Outside: On April 2, 2021, at around 11:45 p.m., an off-duty officer was at the La Quinta Hotel located in the City of Tucson, Arizona. He stated he was disassembling the weapon in his hotel room when he had an unintentional discharge. The round impacted and lodged in an interior wall.

No one was injured as a result of the discharge. Tucson Police Department responded and conducted a preliminary investigation.

Force Investigation Division (FID) did not initially respond but will be investigating this incident.
