Bio
Mrs. Tatiana Garcia was appointed to the LAPD in 1999 as a Clerk Typist. She was promoted to Criminalist in 2001 and assigned to the Scientific Investigation Division (now known as Forensic Science Division). She promoted to Supervising Criminalist in 2011 and Chief Forensic Chemist I in 2015. She managed the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Program for the Forensic Science Division from 2011 to 2018. Ms. Garcia was appointed as the Police Administrator of the Technical Investigation Division in April of 2018. Ms. Garcia has a B.S. Degree in Chemistry from California State University, Fullerton and post graduate work in Biochemistry from Oxford University, England.
Commanding Officer Garcia, her husband, and daughter enjoy traveling and cheering for their favorite sport teams.
