Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Traffic Division detectives are still seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for a fatal hit and run traffic collision resulting in the death of brothers Jesse and Benigno Felix.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced Jesse and Benigno Felix deceased at scene.
Video recordings captured the driver and passengers fleeing the scene and into the neighborhood. They were last seen fleeing northbound on Chestnut Avenue from Hough Street.
Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.
On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit and Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members who provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
Video from the incident can be viewed on Central Traffic Division’s Youtube page.
We are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver and the passengers of the Silverado.
