Los Angeles: On July 26, 2005, at about 9:45 p.m., a fatal traffic collision occurred in the area of Sunset Boulevard and Beverly Glen Boulevard. The driver, Georgian Tatulescu, a 20-year-old resident of Los Angeles and his passenger, 21-year-old Nicholas Magee, a resident of Santa Monica, were riding in a Honda Accord. As Tatulescu drove through the curve at the intersection, he lost control of his vehicle and collided with a 2005 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Eric Menk, a 30-year-old resident of Charlotte, Michigan. Magee sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he died.
Tatulescu sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Menk, who also sustained minor injuries, was treated and released at the scene.
The investigators revealed that Tatulescu was operating his vehicle while intoxicated. Tatulescu was placed under arrested and booked for Felony Vehicular Manslaughter.
