Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is committed to participating in Days of Dialogue, chaired by State Assemblyman Mark Ridley-Thomas.
The meetings are held at local fire stations in all fifteen city council districts. The next meetings will be held Saturday, February 26, 2005.
LAPD representatives from the Community Relations Section and the local police stations will be present at the locations. Other organizations in the Days of Dialogue will be the Los Angeles Fire Department, the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Dispute Resolution Program, and Ridley-Thomas’s 48th Assembly District Empowerment Congress.
The session will be held at various locations across the city, mostly local fire stations. Attendees will be welcomed by the fire station’s battalion chief, and have the chance to speak directly with LAPD representatives. Members of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Dispute Resolution Program will act as mediators in the process.
