Los Angeles: A 30 year-old Pacoima resident was shot and killed by gang members while his vehicle was stopped at a stop sign near the Kewen Avenue and Filmore Street intersection.
On April 10, 2005, at about 3:30 a.m., Alonso Morquecho was driving his wife and two young children when two male Hispanic suspects with shaved heads, drove along side him in a dark colored SUV. The suspect passenger inside the vehicle asked Morquecho what gang was he from. Morquecho told the suspect that he didn’t belong to any gang.
The suspect shot numerous times inside the victim’s vehicle, and killed him.
Los Angeles Police Department Detectives stated that the victim’s clothing was not gang attire and his appearance would not have been mistaken for a rival gang member.
The victim’s wife and two children were unharmed.
The suspect(s) and weapon are still outstanding. The crime is believed to be gang related.
