Los Angeles: On Sunday April 25, 2004, in the 100 block of South Mansfield Avenue, Courtney Love Cobain was involved in a dispute which resulted in an “Assault With a Deadly Weapon” crime report being taken. The victim, a 32 year old female, alleged Cobain struck her with a liquor bottle. Wilshire Area Major Assault Crimes Detectives conducted a full investigation and submitted the case to the District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration, at which time a Felony Arrest Warrant was issued.
On Friday June 11, 2004, Cobain surrendered to the Los Angeles Police Department at the Wilshire Community Police Station. Cobain was subsequently booked on the specified charge, following which bail was posted in the amount of $55,000 and she was then released. Cobain is scheduled to appear in court on July 9, 2004 at 8:30 a.m., in Division 30 of the Criminal Courts Building at 210 West Temple Street, Los Angeles.
