Los Angeles: On Friday, January 9, 2004, at 9:00 a.m., The Los Angeles Police Department will graduate 39 police officers. The ceremony will take place at the Los Angeles Police Academy in Elysian Park, 1880 North Academy Drive, Los Angeles.
The graduating officers have completed 1,064 hours of training over the course of 28 weeks. There are 35 men and 4 women in the graduating class. It is anticipated that over 500 guests will attend the graduation ceremony. Chief William J. Bratton will inspect the class. Representatives of the Mayor Hahn’s office, the Board of Police Commissioners and Police Department Command Staff will be in attendance, as well as their special guests and other dignitaries.
