Los Angeles: On September 5, 2004, at approximately 5:00 p.m., a fatal motorcycle traffic collision occurred on West Washington Boulevard near Dunsmuir Avenue in the Wilshire Area.
The driver of the motorcycle was driving westbound on Washington Boulevard and collided with the north curb and a light standard. He was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained severe head injuries. The victim was transported by Los Angeles Fire Department Rescue Ambulance to Cedar Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The victim was wearing a one-half type helmet at the time of the traffic collision.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division is conducting the collision investigation and has identified the driver as 47-year-old Carl Springs of Los Angeles.
