Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department, Metropolitan Division Canine, Mounted and “B” Platoons in participation with the Los Angeles Ministry Project of South Central Los Angeles (LAMP) will host the annual Kids Dogs Horses and Cops Christmas Party for underprivileged children.
As a secret Santa, each officer adopted one of the one hundred and forty one children by purchasing specific presents for each child. The officers will deliver Santa and the presents only as police officers can. The party will include a demonstration from the Canine and Mounted Units, a child’s play bounce, piñata, and other games along with Santa Clause himself.
The South Central LAMP organization works with mothers and children in the community who are at risk and strives to enhance parenting skills and family life.
For additional information, please contact Sergeant Chuck Buttitta, Metropolitan Division Canine Unit, 213-972-2420, or Mary Hoffman, M.P.H. South Central LAMP 323-234-1471.
