Los Angeles: On December 24, 2004, at around 5:40 p.m., uniformed officers assigned to Northeast Police Station responded to an "Ambulance, Shots Fired" radio call at 1818 North New Hampshire Avenue in Los Feliz. When the officers arrived, they saw a male Hispanic, later identified as Julio Roque, age 22, lying in the street suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to the scene and provided immediate medical treatment, however victim Roque died due to his injuries.
The murder weapon and suspect(s) are still outstanding. The motive is unknown.
