Los Angeles: On Monday, September 1, 2003, at approximately 3:30 a.m., a male Hispanic in his late thirties was walking on the sidewalk on the 5000 block of Fountain Avenue. He was confronted by several male suspects. They fired several shots striking him several times.
Suspects fled the scene in two vehicles that were parked at the scene.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital where he died as a result of his wounds.
The suspects and the motive for the shooting are unknown at this time.
