"Shooting At Intersection Leaves One Dead "
Los Angeles: On June 1, 2003, around 5:00 p.m., Newton Area patrol officers responded to a shooting call at 46th Street and Avalon Boulevard. The officers found a 20-25 year-old male, Black, lying in the intersection, shot.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect, a male Black, walked up to the victim and shot him while crossing the street. The suspect then got into a 1980 to 1990’s Ford Mustang, dark black or blue in color. It drove away from the scene.
Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics arrived and then took the victim to a local hospital where he later died.
The identity of the victim will not be released until his relatives have been notified.
The suspects have not been identified and no motive has been established.
