Admission:
General admission ticket price is $4.00, children 12 years old and under are free. Tickets can be purchased at any Los Angeles Police Station or at the gate on the day of the event.
Los Angeles: On Saturday, May 17, 2003, beginning at 8:00 a.m., celebrities from the world of music, television, film and sports will assist the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation by gathering together for a Police Celebrity Golf Tournament. This event allows fans to get close and personal with their favorite Hollywood stars for autographs and pictures. The golf tournament is a major fundraising event of the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation, which assists Los Angeles Police Department personnel experiencing catastrophic circumstances, including injury, illness or death. Since its inception in 1972, the foundation has granted more than $8 million for medical, funeral and educational expenses.
Host Craig T. Nelson (The District) will be joined by Kelsey Grammer, Chris Tucker, Eddie Van Halen, Evan Marriott (Joe Millionaire), Kenny G, Joe Mantegna (The Rat Pack), R Lee Ermey (Full Metal Jacket), Mia St. John, Neal McDonough (Boom Town), Molly Culver (V.I.P.), Pauly Shore, John Beard, Ken Howard (Crossing Jordan), and many more.
This event also serves as an open house for the LAPD, featuring displays throughout the golf course from several of the Department’s specialty units such as; Narcotics, K-9, SWAT and the Bomb Squad. This family event is open to the public, featuring food booths, face painting, inflatable jumpers, balloon animals and other interactive games for children.
