Man Found Shot Outside of Local Bar NR22075ne

Mission Hills: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Bureau Homicide Detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) responsible for the murder of a 26-year-old resident of San Fernando.

On March 13, 2022, around 3:10 a.m., Mission Area patrol officers responded to a radio call of “Battery Just Occurred at the 15400 block of Chatsworth Street in front of a Bar.” When the officers arrived, they found the victim laying on the sidewalk. He was unconscious, not breathing, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Operations Valley Bureau Homicide was contacted and assumed responsibility. Detectives learned that witnesses observed the victim laying on the sidewalk in front of the bar, unconscious and immediately call 911. LAFD paramedics responded and performed lifesaving measures but were not successful. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

There were no witnesses to what occurred. Detectives were in the process of viewing surveillance video from the area as well as canvassing the area for witnesses or additional evidence. Detectives were able to determine, that the victim only described as a 26-year-old male Hispanic, was not a customer at the bar.

The victim’s name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
