Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is requesting the assistance of the media to provide the public with the following information to assist Law Enforcement efforts in locating an abducted child.
On Friday, January 31, 2003, at approximately 11:00 a.m., the suspect, 45 year-old Irlanda Ponce, was last seen babysitting her grandson Ceasar Adrian Ponce at her home located at the 700 block of South Catalina Avenue. She is believed to have abducted her grandson.
Caesar is 9 months-old and has black hair, brown eyes, 25’’, 20 lbs. He was last seen wearing a red and blue vest, gray and blue striped shirt and blue slippers.
The suspect was described as a female, Hispanic with black hair, brown eyes, 5’2’’ and 130-lbs. date of birth of 3-13-57. She was last seen wearing a dark peach blouse and skirt. The suspect has contacts in Wichita, Kansas and El Salvador and is believed to be heading out of the country.
The suspect is believed to be traveling by bus.
