The suspect went to the sixth floor of the building and approached the victim, 32 year-old Pedro Chavez, and shot him while he was at his workstation. The suspect then walked over to the second victim, Rosa Rivas, and shot her. The suspect then fled the location on foot.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital by Los Angles Fire Department Paramedics. Victim Chavez failed to respond to treatment and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Victim Rivas is listed in stable condition and is expected to survive her injuries.
