Felony Hit-and-Run & $5,000 Reward – NR22174ll

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department, Central Traffic Detectives, are investigating a Felony Hit-and-Run in Rampart Division.

On December 23, 2021, at 11:05 a.m., the driver of a 2005 Ford F-150 pickup truck became involved in a traffic collision with a 2007 Honda Accord when negotiating a U-turn on Santa Monica Boulevard west of Heliotrope Drive. The driver fled the scene without rendering aid and identifying himself.

The driver of the Honda, a 60-year-old Korean driver, sustained minor injuries and was not transported.

The driver is described as a male Hispanic, black hair, 5’06”, 175 lbs., 50 to 60 years old. The Ford F150 truck has an extended cab, “Roush Package;” white with blue racing stripes, tailgate spoiler, hood air intake, and collision damage to the left side of the truck.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $5,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
