Los Angeles: On June 22, 2022, around 1:35 a.m., a Home Invasion Robbery occurred in the 17900 block of Valley Vista Boulevard.
A radio call of an unknown trouble by a female at the location occurred and while on the phone with police, the phone was disconnected. West Valley Division Patrol Officers responded to the call and observed suspects, wearing dark clothing and masks, exiting the residence with suitcases in hand. The suspects immediately fled the scene and a perimeter was established for containment and apprehension of the suspects, and K-9 units were utilized to search for the suspects.
According to the victims, while they were located inside of the residence, multiple suspects forced entry into the residence by prying open a rear window of the residence. Once inside the residence, two suspects robbed the victims at gunpoint. The suspects stole US currency, a watch and a cell phone during the robbery.
Three suspects were apprehended as a result of the K-9 search and the victim’s property was recovered and returned at scene.
Maliek Villafranco, a 25- year-old resident of Los Angeles, and Darion Abbott, 29-year-old resident of Los Angeles, and Jajuan Young, a 25-year-old resident of Los Angeles, were arrested for the incidents in this case. The incident appears to be isolated and all suspects are in custody.
West Valley Division Robbery Detectives assumed investigative responsibility for this case.
