Reseda: Los Angeles Police Department Valley Bureau Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect, or suspects, responsible for killing a man.

On Friday, July 29, 2022, around 12:05 a.m., West Valley Division officers responded to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Shots fired radio call in the 18500 block of Sherman Way near Reseda Boulevard. Two victims sustained gunshot wounds which were non-life threatening. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victims to a local hospital where they were treated and released.

There were numerous shell casings inside the crime scene, which were fired from different handguns. It was determined that a street robbery had occurred, and one victim was targeted for his jewelry. The suspects were described as four male Blacks. They fled the scene in a grey four door sedan.

Around 12:50 a.m., West Valley Division officers responded to a radio call in the 18300 block of Saticoy Street in Reseda. A 30-year-old male Black was the victim of a gunshot wound to his upper torso. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Valley Bureau Homicide detectives responded to both crime scenes. It was determined that the victims were confronted by three male Black suspects who exited a grey, four door sedan. Two of the suspects were armed with handguns. One of the suspects grabbed the victim’s two, large necklaces and attempted to remove them from his neck. The victim was shot during the incident, and an additional victim, just east of the robbery location, received a gunshot wound as well. Detectives are investigating if the deceased victim with the gunshot wound on Saticoy Street was involved with the other suspects of the robbery. His identification is pending.
