Los Angeles: On Tuesday, October 2, 2002, at 10:45 a.m., a 17-month old child was abducted by her father. The father and mother were involved in a paternity dispute. The mother and father have a history of domestic violence and do not live together. They met at the Department of Childrens Services located at 20221 South Hamilton Avenue. The father grabbed the child from the mother’s arms and left the scene on foot. She did not see his vehicle but stated he drives a gray 2002 Chevy Astro Van, California license plate of 6X95624.
His residence in Bellflower was checked but he was not at the location. A crime report was taken for "Child Concealment."
The father has been identified as Clifton Miles, a male Black, 6’ 1", 145 lbs., 39 years of age. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black jeans and black shoes. The child’s name is Paige Miles, a female Black, wearing a white shirt with red and pink flowers, red pants and white shoes.
