Ghost Gun Manufacturing Arrests NR22260ti

Los Angeles: The Regional Illegal Firearms Trafficking Team (RIFTT), which is a Task Force comprised of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Gang and Narcotics Division (GND), Homeland Security Investigations and the LAX Police Department, has made two arrests and recovered a substantial cache of illegal material to manufacture weapons (“Ghost Guns”).

On September 8, 2022, at 7 a.m., two search warrants were served. One in the 100 block of West 1^st Street in San Pedro and the other in the 17000 block of Western Avenue, in Gardena. The search warrant was the result of an investigation by RIFTT where a foreign national had attempted to illegally export 11 ghost guns, 2 of which were assault weapons and 3 silencers. As a result of the search warrant, the Task Force recovered approximately 200 ghost gun frames, handgun slides, 2 assault weapons, a rifle, firearms magazines, ammunition, and numerous parts and tools for manufacturing ghost guns.

Von Haug, Mavrick is a 54-year-old male (DOB: 11/6/1967) and he was booked for violation of Penal Code §30600 – Manufacturing Assault Weapons, Booking Number 6460522.

Briton, Cristian is a 30-year-old male (DOB: 11/27/1991) and he was booked for violation of §18USC922(g)(5)(b) – generally makes it unlawful for any nonimmigrant alien to ship or transport in interstate or foreign commerce, or possess in, Case Number: 2:22-MJ-03558-DUTY.
