At Risk Missing Adult

Los Angeles: The family of Luis Alfonzo Cruz, at risk adult missing person, and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) requests the public’s assistance in locating him.
Luis Alfonzo Cruz was last seen on August 9, 2002, at 9:30 a.m., leaving his residence on the 9600 block of Woodale Avenue in Arleta to go to work. Cruz was in his 96 Chevy Tahoe SUV, four door, green, California license plate number of 4GXG853. Cruz’s family and work advised he never arrived at work.
Cruz is described as a 26 year-old male, Hispanic, 5"8", 130 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes, light complexion with a tattoo of "Rubia" on his right ankle. The family advises Cruz is in need of medication for depression.
On August 19, 2002, a U.S. Forest Service ranger saw Cruz’s SUV parked at Switzer’s Campground, near Angeles Crest Highway north of Forest Highway. The vehicle had been ticketed on August 10, 2002, for not having a Forest Service parking pass. After the SUV was found, searchers from the Montrose Search and Rescue assisted Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station in checking the area for Cruz. The searchers called off the effort overnight. The search was resumed today after daybreak. Currently the search is on going.
